Lana Condor Set To Lead And Executive Produce Hulu Series Take Out Celeb Secrets

Lana Condor has announced her next project, and it sounds incredible!

On Wednesday (July 21), the actress shared that she will be starring in and executive producing an action-comedy series for Hulu titled, Take Out.

The pilot episode will be written by Wandavision actor Randall Park and screenwriter Michael Golamco. The duo is known for their work on the 2019 Netflix romantic comedy, Always Be My Maybe.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Condor will be playing a character named Iris. While Iris works her day job at a restaurant, she secretly tries to figure out how to defeat an evil crime syndicate that plans to take over New York City. The show is said to take “an irreverent look at the modern-day relationship comedy while also deconstructing one-dimensional tropes from martial arts pop culture.”

The To All the Boys star posted about the exciting news to Instagram. She said, “WE DID IT!!! A project that perfectly encapsulates my favorite things: FOOD, ACTION, and LOVE!!! Thank you to Imminent Collision for being the DREAM TEAM and making my dream come true, @hulu & @20thcenturystudios for believing in us and being the absolute best. LETS GOOOOOOOOO 💪🏽🍜⚔️ Represent Baby!”

Imminent Collision, Park and Golamco’s production company with Hieu Ho, are also tied to the project. “We’re so thrilled to be working with Lana on a show that combines our shared passion for romantic comedies and hard-hitting action. Love has the tendency to kick our asses. So we thought, why not a show about love and kicking ass? Thank you to Hulu for seeing this vision and their incredible support,” they said in a statement.

Take Out is one of many projects that Condor has been working on! In February, Deadline reported that she would be partnering with Netflix to star in and executive produce a comedy series called Boo, B*tch.

Back in April, we reported on her upcoming sci-fi romantic comedy film, Moonshot, with Cole Sprouse. She is certainly booked and busy!
